Tudor Revival architecture

It's located right outside the gates of the Biltmore Estate.

It has beautiful tree-lined brick sidewalks, those late 1800s Tudor Revival architecture.

It's gorgeous.

You've got high-end national brands combined with local boutiques, estate gift shops, local breweries, upscale cafes.

Buckingham Palace only became the principal London residence under Queen Victoria in 1837, after St. James’s had served ceremonially for centuries.

The palace was built from scratch on a former leper hospital site, giving it a fresh architectural language of Tudor Revival.

Today, it remains the heart of state ceremonies and the public face of constitutional monarchy.

Then there’s Holyrood in Edinburgh, an early sixteenth-century royal court that also houses Scotland’s Parliament.

I mean, I, a- at age, uh, at age 10 or 11, I started taking the train in from my parents' house in Forest Hills, which is actually a replica or pa- partially a replica of, uh, London, uh, a suburb of London.

It was actually, you know, built in the same kind of Tudor architecture, you know-

It was such a unifying-- The Beatles were such a unifying, uh, force, you know, in, in, in our lives.

Um, and of course, I saw them live, so, you know, it was even more incredible for me, uh, seeing them live, coming in on a helicopter at the Forest Hills, uh, West Side Tennis Club, um, stadium.

They arrived by helicopter because this town of Forest Hills had streets that were too narrow to safely get The Beatles in and out of this, you know, this replica of a Tudor village, you know, from the 17th century or something, or 16th century.

Um, so they arrived by helicopter, and then, and then they did their show, and you could see the helicopter, 'cause it was a horseshoe stadium.

And then for small, I would start back where I started, which is Stan Hewitt Hall and Gardens in Akron, Ohio, which was the home of F.A. Cyberlink, who was one of the founders of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

And it is a beautiful Tudor Revival mansion and gardens.

And it sits right in Akron's heart and offers wonderful community programming throughout the year.

And it's just a lovely place to spend a day with family and friends.
