Trust Me: The False Prophet

But to that point, it is very, very tough in some of these situations.

I mean, we see it play out in the oth- other things, you know, like Christine Marie and Trust, you know.

Yeah.

With FLDS.

And then you have the other side in there that might be using it as their own cover for their own, you know, horrendous thoughts that they might have.

But either way, you're attacking their cover, so a lot of times you're gonna go, like Jen said, you- you're gonna play on the sympathies of some that th- find it abhorrent, that found that one sermon just really obnoxious and, and s- and scary.

And then on other times, you're gonna be really relying upon a lot of, uh, transfers of trust, so you actually know someone in the church, like one degree of separation removed, that they can actually come to you through them because they, they feel e- exactly just like she did in, that Christine Marie did in Trust, in, on that other Netflix thing.

Mm-hmm.

And, and you know, I, y- just to go back to, um, and I know we need to talk about Islam and 9/11, but, um, there have been other documentaries on Netflix.

I don't know if you saw the, um, the one called Trust Me: The False Prophet, came out this year.

Hmm.

No.

So I get to watch them on planes.

And I have just watched The False Prophet and The Bikram one.

And The False Prophet is about the Mormons, something like Mormon community, who had already had their leader taken away and put in prison for paedophilia.

And they're trying to survive without him.

And then this guy that they all know, and he's a bit of a nerd, suddenly announces that he is a new prophet.

They hand over their children to be trafficked by him.

It's really, really good.

Anyway, False Prophet, if you watch it, it's a fascinating thing because it's all video camera filmed because...

And so a quick version of why you weren't on the documentary is because you were afraid, right? Because of what your family might say, and how three of your mothers...
