Troy Donahue

Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee.

Oh, we did see, yeah, one of the movies we saw had Troy Donahue in it.

And Jessica didn't know who Troy Donahue was, and I had to explain who that was.

So that was with, that's the one with Suzanne Plachette.

And she has to take him away from Angie Dickinson, who's like, but it's a weird, weird movie.

I guess we could say that.

Script by David Duncan and it stars Arthur Franz, Joanna Cook Moore, Nancy Walters, Troy Donahue, who briefly had like a career as a heartthrob, about 15 or 20 minutes long.

And I think notably, Whit Bissell, who has been in at least two, if not three, of the movies that we've covered in the past.

Yes.

You see this in a lot of movies.

And they pull up at the...

A delivery truck driven by Troy Donahue, who, as I said earlier, would have a brief time in the limelight as a tiny career before he realized that he really wasn't an actor.

He's driving this delivery truck with his buddy Samson, the dog, and he is delivering this coelacanth to the campus.

And it's you know, there's she's clearly providing for her.

But like it's clear because Sarah Jane, first she wants the boyfriend who's actually quite well played by Troy Donahue.

and then she ends up in like entertainment because i think she sees those as a path to what she wants that's more successful than you know being the light-skinned african-american school teacher which is you know the safer path her mother wants there
