Came out on the Trojan label and also on the Trojan label was Dandy Livingston from 1972.
Mod MartyHOST

What you want to make those eyes at me for? Just some great Trojan reggae in the early 70s to round things off.
Mod MartyHOST

But I do have a bit of a special ending song for us today.

So from 1968 on the Big Shot label, that was a UK subsidiary of Trojan back then, Big Shot, uh that was sufferer by the kingstonians and then i followed it directly with its instrumental cut which uh came out in 1969 the following year from the crystal lights that's called splashdown and i've got that as a blank a lot of these crystal lights instrumentals i have as um pre-releases from derrick's label so like i said crystal was his label um but a lot of them i got as uh pre-release, I just happen to find them as pre-releases, and they usually have a stamp on the middle label, the blank label, which says Derek's One Stop Record Village, 86 King Street, Kingston, phone 22691.
DubheadHOST
51:15
That's what the stamp says.
DubheadHOST

So when playing those, I often say that's on Derek's One Stop, but really it's the crystal label.

DubheadHOST

He could put them out on his own crystal records label, but they were manufactured and distributed in the United States and in Jamaica.
