Trog

It's the only night gallery the public would get for over a year.

So this actually is like the night gallery movie.

You can find separate listings for it on sites as a movie, if you want.

Script is a Serling.

Spoiler alert, that will be the case for all three segments.

Boris Segal directed.

He owned The Silence and The Arrival on The Twilight Zone and had some film credits like Elvis Presley's Girl Happy and The Omega Man.

A movie I've weirdly never watched, despite watching Planet of the Apes a lot and, oh God, what's the other big, Soylent Green.

Oh, wow.

And Joan Crawford was in it, and they cut her out 'cause they had just done, I don't know, Trog or something together.

I don't know if it...

Some sh- something, I'm sure.

I've just kind of been trying to put that in my bones a bit.

What is your science fiction double feature? My science fiction double feature would be Joan Crawford in Trog.

Have you ever seen that? No.

Joan Crawford finds the missing link in a cave and tries to tame this creature.

Shape of Water.

Did you see

that? I would say Shape of Water might have succeeded a little more than Trog did.

Bless everybody.

Wow, my apologies, Joan.

It was really bad.

Oh, yeah.

It was about, you know, exploiting their, their name brand for value and making a cheap movie and putting it out there.

And as fun as things like Trog are, and we love those things-

Right

...

We know that Joan Crawford-

Right

... worked with William Castle, makes Trog.

Bette Davis does Charlotte and Dead Ringers and all of these other things.

this guy was an Oscar-winning cinematographer, and he did this little small horror film.

He later filled the role on Joan Crawford Horror Vehicles Berserk and Trog, which both have Michael Goff, who, of course, played Alfred, and was in Hammer Films.

And Trog is famously horrible, and like one of the last films that Joan Crawford made.

As she's dragged from her home, Elizabeth calls out to Jethro Keen to help her.

And he quickly decides to play ignorant.

They're, they're amazing in every role that they played.

Uh, even, uh, Joan Crawford's, uh, last film, Trog, um, she is so genuine [laughs] in that film.

Um, that may be another...

Maybe that'll be next year's-
