That takes their energy away from opposing President Trump's America First agenda and other crucial fronts, and for that alone, well, I think it's a win.

Meanwhile, construction preparations are beginning for President Trump's proposed Triumphal Arch near Arlington National Cemetery, a project already nicknamed Arc de Trump, pretty good joke there.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum says excavation work is expected to begin within weeks on a roughly 250-foot structure planned near Memorial Circle across the Potomac from the Lincoln Memorial.

Renderings show a monumental white arch topped with gilded statuary, including wing features and eagles with an observation deck incorporated into the design.

It is it's the last thing probably that Republicans need right now with Donald Trump's name not on the ballot.

And there's more of that with an announcement by Doug Burgum, the Secretary of the Interior, former governor of South Dakota, that they're moving ahead with the construction of the Trump Triumphal Victory Arch.

In the Napoleonic era, they built the Arc de Triomphe.

And President Trump has insisted that with the Victory Arch, which is going to be erected near the Arlington National Cemetery, that the arch has to be taller than than the Arc de Triomphe in France, in Paris.

And why is that? Well, it's because the whole idea was inspired by Trump's trip to Paris.

And he thought, they have this great, big, beautiful, world-famous arch.

Uh, last week, senior Trump administration officials announced plans to begin construction on the Triumphal Arch, a towering 250-foot m- memorial that, uh, Trump seeks to build midway between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.

News of this construction came as a surprise to a lot of people.

The project hasn't really received any final approval from the National Capital Planning Commission.

We've got why is Donald Trump insisting on flying on the Qatari plane even though he knows it's not secure enough? We have Melania refusing to attend his mini RNC in the run-up to the midterms, though Natalie Harp looks like she is going to be in full attendance.

And we've got work on the Triumphal Arch.

Will it begin in the next two weeks or will the courts suspend it? I can't wait to get into it.

Although three veterans on Friday brought a case against it, saying that it's disruptive to the idea of Arlington, Arlington Cemetery, obviously, and disrespectful.

And I, for one, am proud as an American that we will no longer have to bow before France as the country with the most triumphal arch.

Ours will loom above the pitiful arc to triumph.

In a mere two weeks, we will break ground on this.

This whole arch thing, at some point in time, it will fail.

because he is, nothing he touches does well it's right it just it just turns to crap this arch wait i already call him he's doing so good winning winning yeah well you can say and don't get me wrong i mean i get the sarcasm and what he does he just says exactly that he's just winning all the time he says things and people in order to create this false reality about what's really happening this triumphal arch is will be a boondoggle from the start.

It will not last.

Once he is gone, whatever progress has been started will be like everything else, whether it's the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

And when he is gone and out of the public view, The country, collectively, will be getting the cleaning solution and wiping his name off and doing our damnedest just to forget he ever existed.

Everybody will be.

And this Triumphal Arch is just another example of that.
