And I did interview Albert Arenas and Valentin Debees, who obviously run in World Super Sport, which I'll talk about very briefly in a moment.

So I... tend to wave the flag and with the sort of state of play in World Superbike being as it is at the moment with the sort of the dominance of the two red bikes World Supersport is a bit of a breath of fresh air because you have this kind of balancing set of rules in World Supersport which is sort of anathema to some okay to others if it delivers a good series of racing which I believe it does so and I like the fact that again Jim and I were talking about this in terms of sort of what was Jim called it nostalgia disease you know looking back to 990 MotoGP when you could tell the Aprilia RS3 Cube coming by you know you had the V5 Honda sort of the screamer of the Yamaha as it was in the early days before it went cross plane crank and all that sort of stuff so you literally could tell which bike was going by and it's a little bit like that in World Super Sport because you know you got the Triumph Triple various different configurations with all the different brands and different engine capacities I guess they have some weight differential rules in there as well depending on what the technical spec of the bike is so it's just a kind of an interesting category I find and in terms of the Donington races though I mean the headline news really and the reason for just sort of shouting out again was that Tom Boothamos won both races so to have a Brit on the top step in both races was obviously for the British crowd and I'm being a bit sort of um nationalistic and partisan now for which i don't apologize because uh you know we don't have massive success regularly these days i mean in world superbike yeah we have historically but just nice to see tom who's a again i interviewed him last year and he's a bit of a misunderstood character i feel but he's a really genuine nice guy and so it's really good to see him come through and he wasn't on pole i think he qualified third he tends to have a bit of a sort of slow burn approach in the races he tends to drop back into the pack a little bit he's one of these riders that builds and so he sort of worked his way through and in the end had what were two fair in world super sport terms at least fairly dominant wins uh obviously we three were there on the saturday weren't we to watch i was so knackered by the sunday that i actually i had to go home on the saturday night anyway because i wasn't prepared to pay the extortionate hotel costs on the uh for Saturday night.

So I was going home anyway and planning to come back up on the Sunday, which I didn't do because I was just so tired and sort of washed out from three days running around in that heat, which was pretty intense.

So I watched it on the tally, but it looked like a great race to spectate at on the Sunday, as indeed were the World Superbike races that we've just been talking about.
