Tristan Rogers

Yes.

But yeah, I just, you know, it really got me thinking of the people that we've lost that, you know, Jeannie lost and, you know, Tristan Rogers and Tyler and Denise and Jackie Zeman, like, and yet this woman has stood the test of time and stood for what daytime pop culture really is.

Like, you know, this is the woman, like her man said, There is no Luke and Laura without Jeannie Francis.

I love when he said that.

Yeah.

I saw somebody say, oh, is that why they're dragging Tristan Rogers' tribute out so they can submit it to the Emmys? Well, I mean, they wouldn't have to drag it out any time this year is fine.

Yeah.

That's ridiculous.

Yeah, I really think that that.

And, Shawna, you're right.

They created the character to honor Tristan Rogers, but that doesn't

mean he's...

And

they were nominated for a lot of them, and Tristan Rogers won his first Daytime Emmy.

And

then the year after that, they were told, no, they had to go into the primetime.

I don't know.

Was Emma here before or after Tristan Rogers passed?

Before.

Okay.

So, it'll be two years of Christmas.

And Tristan died, I think, in early 2025.

Because I feel like Anthony Geary and Tristan Rogers did not die that far apart from each other.

And Robert Scobie last appeared on screen in July of 2025.

I'm excited to welcome a woman whose career has taken her from Port Charles to working with some of the biggest names in music.

General Hospital fans will remember Edie Lehmann Boddicker as concert pianist Catherine Delafield, who captured the heart of Robert Scorpio, played by the late Tristan Rogers, but Edie's career goes far beyond daytime television.

She has worked with music legends including Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, and you've heard her voice on so many soundtracks.

You've heard her on Full House, on the theme song, and her work includes films like The Lion King, Dune, and Wicked.

All the people gave me such kindness, you know, for this person that just showed up on the screen with

them.

For somebody who grew up watching, I mean, to work with Tristan Rogers, Fanola Hughes, Kimberly McCullough, I mean, you must have been pinching yourself to some degree as well.

Well, I'll tell you what.

He plays Mac.

But back in the day, back in the day, he came on as Robert, who's Tristan Rogers.

Right.

Robert

Obviously, Jackie Zever, we knew she passed away.

But also, Tristan Rogers, Mary Beth Evans, and Alicia Lee Willis.

Those four were kind of anchors.

That's why I said it's like a new era.

They'll all be reeling.

It's Belinda from Soap Dirt, and today, we're gonna talk about what will happen and how everything will change once the legendary Robert Scorpio passes away and we finally get a proper send-off for actor Tristan Rogers.

Before we dive in, though, please hit subscribe if you're not following us.

All right, so we just got a huge clue that GH is getting ready to script Robert's death.

And since Tristan passed away in real life, obviously Robert's death has to be off-screen.

However, we have heard for a while that Holly would come back to town for Robert's memorial.

If you recall, Tristan Rogers, who played Anna's ex-husband Robert Scorpio for 45 years, passed away.

It was last year, August 15th, 2025, just a few weeks after his last GH appearance after a battle with lung cancer.

Yeah.

Um, I mean, a- and here's the thing, you know, 'cause, 'cause Robert, uh, Tristan Rogers was on recurring status over at Y&R too.

Maybe they could say, you know, as a, as a-

Yeah, they could, I just don't know that they would.

Because the thing is, is that it's always gonna be business.

Right.

And the Tristan Rogers tribute is going to be a viewer grabber.

Yeah.

I completely agree.

And I hope i i've uh i've told everybody that i'm going forward because i want to binge the bay going you know the current stuff because i want to include the bay in the sudsy award categories for 2027. um so i'm almost done with season 10 i'm not going to give out any spoilers or anything but it's been great and i'm telling you right now that season eight that we're on right now is almost the end of an arc um as I will go ahead and give you one spoiler and that this episode that we're going to be covering today, season eight, episode 14 is the final episode for Jackie Zeman, Tristan Rogers, and Mary Beth Evans.

Um, so that's kind of just, um, it's kind of bittersweet, especially knowing with Jackie Zeman passing away and Tristan Rogers passing away, obviously Mary Beth Evans is still alive and well.

Um, but, it's kind of like the end of an arc and we'll get into that.

Yeah.

It's like, you know, but it's like cool and classy.

You know, I dig it.

And, of course, last week we did do our Tristan Rogers honor, you know, Tristan Rogers deep dive into Commissioner Lex Martin.
