Triple Triad

My name is Brian Black, otherwise known as Ro, and I only need three Triple Triad cards to have every card in the game through Dawntrail.

One of those cards is something I can get by running the expert dungeon queue, which is great, except I always end up in Mistwake.

Apparently, I can't find the Chlydium.

It, it is, it is more obvious than you two realize, but you probably don't know this about Beastmaster.

Uh, here's the thing.

When Blue Mage came out, Blue Mage had a lot of content, and a lot of side content, a l- and a lot of reasons why you'd wanna play that content, including but not limited to the addition of a Triple Triad card or two.

Beastmaster actually doesn't have a Triple Triad card attached to it.

Yes, I saw that.

You can play someone in fucking triple triad.

I thought this is, I think it's funny.

It's a little goofy where it's like, you can actually challenge your GM to a board game.

Yeah, I'll definitely check that out.

It makes me think of like, first one of these for me was Triple Triad in Final Fantasy VIII.

They got really into Gwent in The Witcher 3.

The standalone Gwent game that they did, not the multiplayer one, but they did like a story-driven Gwent game that was phenomenal.

Final Fantasy X, it's Blitzball, which is my favorite minigame ever of all time.

In Final Fantasy VIII, it's Triple Triad, which is a card game.

In X-2, it's...

I mean, basically, the whole game is a fucking collection of minigames.

So like, let's just,

yeah.

A thing with mini games that I really love is when it comes to stuff like Wicked Grace, I'm going to use Wicked Grace and then also like maybe Triple Triad from Final Fantasy VIII.

The difference between the two that I think is so fun is like seemingly Wicked Grace is played with a standardized deck.

I think Warrior of Light probably is my favorite, but I do enjoy running...

Well, my- I have good memories of Emerald Weapon until it ended up being the one I had to run the longest to get a Triple Triad card.
