These trends in the ecstasy pill market were seen right across Europe too, but recently there has been trouble in paradise.

Two weeks ago, a leading Dutch drug addiction and mental health institute, the Trimbos Institute, issued a red alert warning over these Trump pills.

They look very much like ecstasy, but they actually contain large, potentially lethal doses of a much more toxic drug called PMMA.

Pills are two-toned and multicolored.

The regulated experiment, it actually began back in April 2025 across 10 participating municipalities.

And researchers from Trimbo's Institute, Rand Europe, and Brewer and Interval, they found that product variety has increased and consumers view the price to quality ratio of flour more positively.

Importantly as well, researchers have not identified clear differences so far in cannabis use, public health, safety, or quality of life between participating and comparison municipalities, although they caution that it remains too early for definitive conclusions.

So really in all this, village farms, they want to see what else? The program to expand.

Oh, this is odd.

The Netherlands Institute of Mental Health and Addiction... known as the Trimbos Institute, has issued a red alert after drug testing centers have found ecstasy pills containing a potentially life-threatening amount of PMMA.

The two-toned pills feature an image of Donald Trump on one side and a score line with NL and Trump on the other.

according to the Trimbos Institute.

Officials said they've identified several color combinations.

Several of the pills were submitted to testing centers run by the Drug Enforcement Monitoring System in the past week, and the Netherlands Forensic Institute also analyzed them.

But, an institute in The Hague, in the Netherlands, they're a drug addiction and mental health institute, they issued a warning on Friday, global.

The outfit is the Trimbos Institute, and they noted that they're seeing in illicit drug traffic, potentially lethal doses of something being sold as ecstasy.

The way they found this out, the Trimbos Institute has a program whereby drug users can safely turn in drugs to have them tested to see if they're safe for use.

It's a matter of harm reduction.

And they warned absolutely do not use these pills.

Uh, it is in fact, um, a chemical called PMMA, paramethoxy methamphetamine, chemically similar to MDMA, which is ecstasy.

But it acts more slowly, the PMMA does, and can make people think that they didn't take enough of a dose and they take it again and they take another dose and the next thing you know they're in terrible trouble.

So the Trimbos Institute put up a red alert on their website and social media.

It's similar to MDMA, and that is an active ingredient in ecstasy pills.

But what the Trimbos Institute in the Netherlands is saying, very high amounts of these chemicals can quite simply cause, obviously there is the risk of overdose.

but can cause nausea, increased heart rate and convulsions many hours after ingesting the pills.

Indeed, they seem to make the body so hot and make the person that's taken them heart rate increase so much and metabolism increase so much that people can die after having taken them.
