Tricia Cotham

We gotta remember, sometimes in many states, even if Democrats technically have the majority, sometimes it only takes one or two people defecting to help break that Democratic majority or to help make it so that Republicans get back the super majority.

Just look at what happened in North Carolina in 2023 with Tricia Cotham.

She was a Democrat who w- won there and broke the Republican super majority, which was essential because we had a Democratic governor there.

She flipped to become a Republican to give the Democrat, to give the Republicans back the super majority.

Um, but let's talk about this, Alex.

You have, uh, Representative Tricia Cotham, um, been in the news a few times, a Democrat turned Republican.

She's down in the Mint Hill area of Mecklenburg County.

You have this as a lean Democratic district.

Now, if this race is lost, and it's a big if, uh, that would not cost the m- the super majority, but it would be a good night for Democrats on so many levels for, you know, just [laughs] they seem to be after her.

Uh, but can we drill down a little bit on the Tricia Cotham race?

Yeah, this race I think maybe is the only current Republican, uh, seat that we already have in the lean Democrat category.

Um, and the reason is not because of any kinda candidate quality.
