This is Ken reading from the Friday, September 4th edition of the Dubuque Telegraph Herald, and we begin with our first piece from the top of the fold on page one.

The Chamber added 81 new members and retained 87.2% of existing members this past fiscal year.

Attendance at the Chamber's events increased 3% year over year, and the organization reduced total expenses by 8%.

Four new events were launched this year by the Chamber, including Beer with a Boss, that brings community members and local leaders together for informal conversations and Taste of the Tri-States, which featured 21 vendors and recorded over 250 attendees.

The chamber turns membership into momentum by acting as a champion, a catalyst, and a connector, said chamber president and CEO Molly Grover.

Grover cheered the chamber's efforts alongside the Iowa Chamber Alliance to secure some policy victories at the Iowa legislature.
