when I was, my junior year, that's when like junior summer going into senior year, that's when everybody normally starts getting recruited and stuff like that.

I was probably 6'4", 6'3", and I was like 150 pounds, but I could always shoot.

Like, I always had burner, but like any game that you would come to, I either had 15, 18, 21, 24.

Like, I was only shooting threes.

And at that time I'm like, "You know what? Rice is probably the best academic school, and, you know, I'll play some good basketball.

Trey, what do you think about, uh, about point Kat?

Um, I don't know if it's necessarily point Kat or just like playing through Kat, but I mean, that was...

Wait a minute, that's what I said in the, in one of the episodes.

I said early on they were down like, I think it was 1-1 and they were going to Atlanta, and they lost game three.

I was like, "You have to play through Kat because y- nobody can guard him on the floor." And so then if you give the ball to Kat and they have to double team, now you're putting the team in rotations, now you're creating advantages to score, and ever since they started putting the ball in Kat's hands, they've been scoring.

They have not lost a game.

So I'm not trying to, you know, act like I know everything about basketball, but I know a thing or two when it comes to, you know, match-ups and stuff like this.

What do you tell people, Trey?

When I was at Rice my freshman year, we went to Spain to play three games.

We played in Barcelona, Valencia, and Madrid.

Madrid first, then Valencia, then Barcelona.

The last game in Barcelona, we're in this gym that's probably, like, the size of this, of this place here.

And we're warming up, layup lines, and I shoot my layup and I go back to the other line where you're about to rebound, and I look on the other end and I see this dude in a full arm sleeve.

Yeah

I guess, for kids now.

Yeah, and also too, it's just like, I'm just looking and I'm like, "Okay, I like that." Like, "Oh, I never thought, like, to do that," or it's just certain different things that I'm watching on YouTube where it's like, okay, like...

Now, I do l- still like to watch full games.

I feel like that, there's an art in that, and like, there's different things that you see.

Like, you don't wanna see them scoring every single time.

I wanna know what didn't work as well.

But it's just so easy to be like, okay, Luka Doncic pick and rolls, and then I have 20 minutes of film to watch.

What do you say to the w- to the question about what, when people ask them about, like, if, like, a kid is like, "What, what do I have to do to do your thing?" Like, what do you say when someone's like, "What do I have to do to make the NBA?"

It's like one of those things where you set such a standard that you have to play at, and you either play that standard or, like, you're gonna feel out of place.

And I really noticed it up close this year because, like, I watched them from, 'cause I was, I wasn't playing during that time.

It was like the last away game.

And you, like, you're just watching them and they, they play so hard, and they all share the ball, and, like, they have an identity and you just know, okay, like, they're gonna...

Their main goal is to get up as many threes as possible, and they're gonna crash the glass really hard.

I don't wanna give up on my guys, [laughs] on my, on my guy BI, but it's gonna be tough.

It just seems like the Cavs are so, like they're so tactical, and like everything they're doing, it just seems like they've already been doing this like a bunch of different times.

Like when we played the Cavs this year at, in New Orleans, like they needed that game and so they were playing really hard.

And, you know, probably one-- quarters one through three, we was pretty close, and then like fourth quarter you just saw how like Don and, and JH are just tactical, like super tactical down the stretch.

And, you know, I feel like they have an identity.

I feel like the Raptors is so tough because obviously they play great defense, but offensively you don't really know what they're trying to get to.

Um, give one, one or two, like, player X factors who we haven't talked about yet in any of the series that you feel like, um, over the next, you know, week before you come back, we're, we're gonna see something from.
