Yeah, we did.

I got to go there when I was working with Trey Lewis.

We did a summer with Uncle Bob, Kid Rock.

We did the Kid Rock tour and we went to Riverbend and it was wild.

It used to be you'd find folks because you saw them play one of my things or Whiskey Jam or Bus Call or Grindhouse or Nick's Rowdy on the Row back in the day.

And you would see like I remember when I remember when that like the Trey crew all signed their publishing deals with Sony.

And that was Trey Lewis, Ella Langley, Joy Beth Taylor, Alex Maxwell and Matt McKinney.

And that was the week that Dick down in Dallas came out and they all signed with Sony pub the following week, you know, and that was an event.

Because I

remember Trey Lewis telling me stories.

He used to play at a place called Pablo's that was down in Alabama.

There are artists who make music, and then there are artists whose music makes meaning out of the wreckage, and today's guest is the second kind.

You may know him as Trey Lewis, but on this episode of Music Saved Me, we're welcoming him as Thomason, the name on his birth certificate, the name on his new White Van EP, and the name he says represents the most soul-baring work of his life.
