Trevor Richards

It really does feel like it wasn't about maybe the quality of pitching, but the depth of that pitching when you can't rely on one, two, three, four, five, six, seven guys out of your b- uh, bullpen, and add on top of that the guys you left off entirely.

You didn't see Schweitzer, Trevor Richards, et cetera.

There were just guys that they could not trust on a playoff roster at all.

They only carry 12 pitchers, and they barely even use all 12 of those pitchers.

Yeah.

So tomorrow, whoever has any cu- type of fumes left in their arm, I don't care who it is, Trevor Richards or if they activate you, find a freaking way.

Mm.

If I told you in March, "Hey, guess what? October 10th, Hoodie, you need to be locked in.

In my opinion, he doesn't have the velocity to fool anyone.

He's just another Trevor Richards.

Should have put in Jordan Hicks or put in Martin instead of Hudson.

You know, that knee is a little bit concerning with the tendonitis that he keeps getting.

So you could say then, "Well, why are they on the playoff roster?" Well, I'd still like to have the possibility that they can give you some decent innings than, say, going with Trevor Richards, this year's mop-up guy.

You know, I don't want to have to call in the janitor, basically.

Or, you know, Oscar Brazoban wasn't exactly crisp against Houston.

So I still think Martin and Schultz, even Martin with, you know, dealing with that lingering calf problem, is probably still a better option if you have to go to him than Trevor Richards.

But if you can buy some time to get Davis Martin healed up and also give Schultz some rest before potentially advancing to a seven-game series, then I'm all for it, because you will need those two in a longer series.

But right now, bullpenning is working, so go with it, especially the arms that they've chosen.

So I could very well see him go going with same guys here moving forward.

I guess Brazoban maybe has a little bit of a, nervous day thinking about if he goes on but i don't think i don't think we're in a position to get that picky when we look at uh what's what's hanging around unless uh you know the trevor richards uh redemption arc suddenly decides to happen in the series but i think that's a tough series to try to make that happen and um i will say that that that guy in particular becomes a lot more of a conversation if we were to if we were to find ourselves into a seven game series moving forward but In a five, that would probably be like the one that I could see not be like really thrown too far off by.

Just in case we have, you know, just one game, even if it's like Cleveland tying us to go back to Chicago or something like that, where they get the run on us early.

do we really want to burn through our bullpen right now? Or do we want to make the last three games kind of make this big run here towards, Hey, everyone's available every day.

So I could, I could see Trevor Richards of all people being the guy that we do bring up onto the roster.

But besides that, um, I don't see a lot changing on the offensive side

of things because most of the guys didn't get an opportunity.

If he's already committed to that, he's committed to his guys.
