And again, I think you're gonna have to see a lot of those, uh, of those spots filled by, by these young starting pitchers.

You know Trevor McDonald is not going to be an option next year because of the UCL surgery, which is unfortunate, because you, you would think that that would be a guy who would for sure be a, uh, a good candidate to, to land in the starting pitching staff.

So you can take him off the board.

But, uh, you've seen, you've seen Tugboat, who I think they're trying to stretch him out into a starter, but I just don't know that he has that in him.

And now it's funny because you have a cluster of, uh, pitchers that we've talked about before, where we're not quite sure, uh, who they are, right? We talked about the Carson Whisenhunts and guys like that, uh, even going back to last season to this season, that the Giants have had all around the same age.

Who is going to, uh, really take the next step? Trevor McDonald, guys like that.

Now you have that a little bit with the Giants because, uh, in the outfield as well, because you have guys like Scott Bandura that got pulled up.

We know Victor Barraco just hasn't been able to stay healthy.

You know, you, you can't just say, "Okay, I'm gonna start over and clean the slate." That, that residue hangs in your brain because the big question, which hasn't been answered yet by a rookie, is, "Can I really play here?" And, uh, and, and slumps for, for rooks are, are catastrophic.

And for a pitcher, you know, y- we've watched Landon Rupp and, and, uh, Trevor McDonald this year have a hard time letting a bad pitch go or walking a guy where you get mad at yourself.

You have to let that go.

Going back to Krug's team, and I'm with 707 here.

It says, it's a veteran move to not draft a kicker or a defense so that you can use the spots for potential stash guys until the rosters get set for week one.

Or if you have guys that go on the injured reserve, you can use those spots to grab a kicker or defense.

And some of those guys, I feel like he's maybe shown a bit more.

I think a good question would be at the end of the season, who will we believe showed the giants more Trevor McDonald or blade Tidwell? Cause I think initially, you know, he was the hot name, right? And Trevor McDonald is 25 years old.

You look at what he did, if we just compare them, and we can say they both pitched really well, but if you compare them, McDonald, 14 games, he ended up starting with a 5-1-2 ERA, 70 innings pitched.

Blade Tidwell, so far, obviously, he is not going to get to that many starts, but if you look at what Blade Tidwell has done, he is sitting at, a 4-5-4 ERA.

But again, you know, those every other game situations, 4-5-4 ERA, he started in five games, okay? He's pitched in 13, but he started in five.

So they're pretty darn similar, right? And all these guys.

And I think that Blade Tidwell is maybe a step above Like I said, Carson Wisenhunt and those guys, maybe he's in that Trevor McDonald conversation.

Still some questions there.

That could have been a success story, but the Giants' pitching development has issues here.

and then obviously Hayden Birdsong goes down with the elbow injury, Trevor McDonald with the elbow injury, Carson Wisenhunt with the elbow injury.

So their pitching development has taken some hits, and we had Dave Fleming on a few weeks ago.

He kind of brought up the Giants are trying to restock their farm system with more power pitchers than contact pitchers.

Yeah, the rotation right now has obviously just been decimated by injuries.

You go back to Hayden Birdsong getting TJ, you know, right in spring training.

Trevor McDonald went under the knife.

Carson Wisenhunt's going to go under the knife as well.
