Tremors 4: The Legend Begins

and you happen to listen to this on the day, but Friday, October, what is it, the 23rd and 24th, which is, that's the Saturday, Halloween International Film Fest will be going on out in Maneo, so we'll both be out there for the weekend, so make sure you come on out if you're in the Outer Banks area, and I'll definitely put the link for that in the description, so if anybody happens to listen, you know, and like say they listen on Friday, and it's not that far of a trip, you can come out for Saturday, so both lineups are freaking nuts, so maybe we can do a quick recap episode if we can find the time on Monday or Tuesday or something, so.

just go to the movies and stuff so but hell yeah but other than that have you seen anything you know leading up to this chat or uh i've been kind of my biggest issue is i've got some music things that hit on actually more than anything which of course you know if you want to hit on your music stuff as well first but sure uh as far as movies go, most of the, I've seen two new movies and neither one are horror because I've been watching a fuck ton of horror and it's all been like, you know, my 31 days of Halloween.

So it's all rewatches.

Like I've watched like two movies a night sometimes.

And, uh, which, uh, today's movie, which I haven't even said yet, but of course, if you click this episode, you saw the title is, uh, vamp from 1986.

So we're also celebrating 40 years, which is pretty cool.

But have you seen anything lately or, you know, done any

music? Yeah, I've been doing the same, jumping into the usual, you know, 31 for Halloween.

However, due to software compatibility issues, the Shrieker CGI from the second film could not be reused.

And Tremors 3 Back to Perfection was released on VHS and DVD on October 1st, 2001, and it was followed by Tremors 4 The Legend Begins.

So there's a very little bit of background on the film, and...

I really don't mind the CGI in this.

And speaking of this wonderful franchise, thank you for setting me up for that perfect segue because Tremors 3 was released straight to video, but it had enough rentals and revenue to have another sequel, this time set in the old Western times.

I believe it was about 1890.

The next film is set, titled Tremors 4, The Legend Begins.

So that is one that I was not a fan of when i was younger but you know what as i've watched it uh it has grown on me as i've gotten older so can't wait to talk about that one i know your wife always says she's like 80 years old at heart so i'm hoping when you guys watch that one she will decide to join us for that because i feel like that might be one of her favorites

You can find a couple tracks from it, but we might be picking some actual lyrical songs instead in some upcoming films because when I found out I was having a really hard time finding this OST.

I looked up Tremors 3, Tremors 4, Tremors 5, and I think I went all the way to 5, and I looked up and I was like, okay, well, I can't really find 4.

But, uh, so he-

In the decades since its release, Tremors has received largely favorable retrospective reviews and has appeared on several rankings of the best monster films of all time and the top horror films of the 1990s.

The film's later popularity led to a long-running franchise comprising of six direct-to-video sequels, Tremors 2 Aftershocks from 1996, Tremors 3 Back to Perfection from 2001, Tremors 4 The Legend Begins in 2004, Tremors 5 Bloodlines in 2015, Tremors A Cold Day in Hell 2018, and Tremors Shrieker Island in 2020, and a television series with Gross serving as the franchise's mainstay.

A TV series reboot of Tremors starring Bacon did not go beyond the pilot stage.

In 2025, Underwood, Maddox, and Wilson regained the rights to the original Tremors script and began discussing a new sequel that would return to perfection.
