Good players tend to.

And even Travis Head last summer, you know, he, he joked that it wasn't that hard to open the batting in Test cricket.

So is, is batting number three any harder? Um, for someone making runs in formats probably it's no better time to give him an opportunity.

And lots of runs as well for Matt Renshaw as well, who got a hundred in that first match.

Ollie Peake as well, runs down the order.

Um, and of course Travis Head got that century as well in the second game.

So from an Australian point of view, I mean, the batting's looked pretty strong so far.

I think most of those games were sort of finishing around midnight, and you know, some of them were pretty good, and you know, some of them were also pretty poor as well, I think just in terms of a general cricket standpoint, but The Aussies obviously coming away with a three-nil win was, I think, important just for a bit of confidence coming into this South Africa series.

And, you know, it wasn't the standard names that we see across the board normally from top to bottom, but there were still some key players, you know, the likes of Mitch Marsh, Travis Head, Cooper Conley, Josh Inglis.

Matty Renshaw and Nathan Allison and Adam Zampa as well, I guess.

So probably going to be guys who are well and truly in the mix when we're talking about the 2027 ODI World Cup, which is coming around very quickly as well.

So, yeah, it was an impressive series.

I think when you look at the batting across the board, it was nice to see guys like Renshaw get on top with 109 in the first game.

Travis Head had 112 in the second game, and obviously Josh Inglis, 103 in that third game.

And, you know, from a Mitch Marsh and Cooper Conley perspective, from a WA standpoint, they were also just super impressive across the board for the three games.

The Aussies obviously coming away with a 3-0 win was, I think, important just for a bit of confidence coming into this South Africa series.

I want you to just have a guess because I'm sort of enjoying the fact that you wouldn't have any idea.

where do you think they rank in the test rankings as batsmen at the moment?

that stadium yeah it was awesome because it's just never seen anything like 100 000 people and then by the end it was just quiet here pin drop yeah

you know it's vastly different to what we grow up playing a lot of the time even you know you you think about the side very differently so you know travis head first opened over there when the ball's hard try and score runs that way you maybe pick an extra spinner so you structure the team slightly differently as well You know, when you're at home, it's very comfortable conditions.
