Trāṭaka

Like anything where it's kind of like any suggestion that man is also divine and man can also kind of own his own godliness, it's suddenly shunned and like, oh, you know, that's pagan and that's bad and that's Gnostic.

And so, yeah, you've got totally either harmless things or actually beneficial things like yoga, which is a whole, it's not just the stretches and the asanas, it's a whole body of knowledge that includes meditation, it includes other things like say, trataka, which is like where you gaze at a candle to increase your third eye and your like, your ability to concentrate.

And there's all these different practices, actually, in yoga, it's like a whole body of knowledge designed to enlighten and empower people and help people raise their consciousness.

And yet you have this whole body which has been demonized out of out of some fear, you know, like it also played out in like the fear of witches, you know, the fear of fear of the occult.

You chant that and put a picture, the iconography of that person, right, of that mantra in front of you as a guideline and stare at it.

It's called Tratak in the yoga system where you stare at a point and focus to awaken your spirituality or to open your core and then you start seeing the higher frequency, you see lights, right? When the core opens, it opens, you see like a golden light.

I was surrounded by a golden light, right? I just viewed.

First, he taught me how to view at a point in a wall, but he said start with a picture, kill two birds with one stone, right? Instead of staring at a point, use the hamsa method and chant a mantra as well.

So let's go through from the top of the body.

So you've got neti, trataka, kapalabhati, naoli doughty basti and gadget irony which is uh vomiting um there's actually

seven although he talks about six yes yeah so

it's a system of six but there is this auxiliary practice of gadget irony which there's a kind of debate around where that fits into the scheme.

That's really all we know.

And then where is that place? Is it within me in something that I can't see? Or is it something outside of me? So Agnya Chakra practices, Trataka is really good, right? Anulom Vilom, you guys can check out Dr.

I forget if it's, I think the ADHD guide has a lot of focusing practices, which are Agnya Chakra oriented.

So if you create the yantra, that's good.

That's like the hierarchy.

And you can do Trataka and Antar Trataka on a Saraswati Yantra.

Now, what is this Saraswati thing? So, Saraswati is regarded as a Hindu goddess.

But there's a technique in what's called like Hatha Yoga.

It was one of their six daily cleaning exercises where it's called like Tratak, where maybe you've ever meditated on a candle flame.

I don't know.

Or something before you just like stare

with neti to make it metrical, if you see what I mean.

So we're confident that, I think there's other examples, well, trataka, well, trataka is another, is a Marathi word, basically, that comes from Marathi.

Again, no Sanskrit precedent for that whatsoever.

So this is supporting my argument that this is kind of oral teaching that he's then writing down, which I think is fascinating in itself and, you know, unusual.

It was like a hue, like someone turned a light on.

And even when I practice Trataka, right? I used to see the colors of the different chakra, like the different, like yellow color, red color, green color.

Like someone turned the light in the room, you know, with my naked eye.
