Trapped Under Ice

And there's a lot of cool music happening in Baltimore.

I really like End It, Angel Dust, Trapped Under Ice.

Everybody just saw Turnstile at the mall playing from like 60,000 people.

You can't deny it's not good.

You can just keep going.

Trapped Under Ice, like it's just awesome band after awesome band.

And so it's hard when you're older because you want to escape into your Scorpions records and you want to escape into your older Carcass records.

But man, the newer Carcass records slam.

Go, Thomas.

There's two types of things that are inspiring.

The bands out of nowhere, like I mentioned, the Angel Dust, the End It, Trapped Under Ice, the Turnstiles, the Baltimore, where it's like, oh my God, I didn't even know how much I liked this style of music.

Then you have the bands that are the elder statesmen who have been putting out music, like I mentioned Carcass, like the newer Carcass records, slam.

Okay, Time Flies moves on.

The next matchup is Trapped Under Ice with their song Outkast against Trial for the kids.

Here is Trapped Under Ice.

And here is Trial.

All right.

Both are goes going into breakdowns.

The trapped under ice one is a little more high energy.

And yeah, I guess just based on that, I'm going the trapped under ice one.

And it took me a little bit to kind of wrap my head around it.

Like, obviously, I'm a fan of Hardcore and Turnstile, Trapped Under Ice.

I'm a massive fan of that band.

So it's like I have the connection already there.

Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of, like, not necessarily unexpected, but there's a lot of hardcore on there.

Like, most of the heavy parts are, like, more influenced by, like, Trapped Under Ice and bands like that than they are, like, post-hardcore stuff.

There's a song with autotune on there

that we've never actually done that with, like, harsh autotune, so that'll be fun.

You know?

He pulled up to a Trapped Under Ice show a couple years ago in Baltimore.

Oh, my God.

That's-

It's just one show.

We're a surprise guest.

It's us, Trapped Under Ice, Youth of Today, and Damnation A.D.

Oh my God in heaven.

Like, one of the best human beings.

Like, low-key probably, for people that, that, that are listening, Brad Hira played in Worn Thin, Lion of Judah, he's in Trapped Under Ice.

He's in The Final Agony.

He looks like Civ.

...

Mike f- Mike from Damnation, like everybody fucking worked at Jinx Proof.

Um, Brad Hira, Trapped Under Ice-

Mm-hmm

I think Uptown Theater would be cool again, for sure.

Um, doing a bigger band like some shit like Terror or Trapped Under Ice.

Someone bigger in a venue that small and fun.

Ooh, Marauder.

Number nine.

[drum roll] [bell dings] From Angel Dust and Trapped Under Ice, Justice Tripp.

This is episode, like, seven or eight or nine or something.

It was very early, and it was, like, magnetic.

'Cause this is a guy I've toured with a bunch now.

He took me on my first tours, uh, uh, essentially, with Trapped Under Ice, when I was playing for Alpha and Omega.

And then Angel Dust's first tour was with Twitching Tongues.

So this is a guy that I've looked up to for a long time, who we just had this, like, incredible radio-esque podcast episode that people still talk to me about to this day.

What do you got, Ben?

Uh, 17 for me, Trapped Under Ice, Secrets of the World.

Um-
