Transmission security

In a concerted effort to shape the future of secure military communications, nearly 120 leaders from the defense, intelligence, and army acquisition sectors convened at Naval Base Point Loma on August 11-12.

The biannual meeting, hosted by the Joint Tactical Networking Center, JTNC, and National Security Agency, NSA, Waveform Communication Security Subworking Group, WCSSWG, centered on advancing joint cryptographic modernization, developing post-quantum resiliency and standardizing transmission security, TRANSEC, across the Department of War, DOE-W.

This critical collaboration, operating under the oversight of the Army's Capability Program Executive Command, Control, Communications and Network, CPE-KEN, and Capability Program Executive Command and Control Information Network, CPE-2IN, brought together key stakeholders to align security baselines and accelerate the delivery of robust capabilities to the warfighter, streamlining secure communications through joint NSA service alignment.

The event kicked off with strategic briefings detailing organizational and operational updates within secure communications portfolios, highlighting how these transitions accelerate current Army modernization initiatives.
