If he looks familiar, it's because he's basically a black version of the minibot Tailgate.

Although in my own headcanon, he is Tailgate, who switched sides after Trypticon kicked his and all the other minibots' butts in Five Faces of Darkness.

Um, I, I remember Flint Dille said, uh, a number of times at any number of conventions saying, like, he would like to see another crack at Five Faces of Darkness where they, you know, just, just reanimate the thing.

I, I don't know if a fresh coat of paint would, would change that, uh, because I would advocate for keeping the voice parts because the, the, uh, voice acting and voice directing is phenomenal in, in the Transformers, you know, thanks to the efforts of Wally Burr.

But is Rodimus Prime meant to appeal to adults? Uh, maybe folks who were late teens in 1984 and now they're in their early 20s? Because I, I don't, I don't think that's the case.

Ready to go is an assumption that I'm thinking like, oh, we use a lot of our time, energy, and effort on this movie, and y'all got what you're going to get in this season three, goddammit.

We're going to get Bruticus standing next to Onslaught and the rest of the Combaticons all the same size.

And, you know, that was – because that's how long it took for them to figure it out.

Because in that fall – and they played that Dark Awakening episode.

That was one of the – like, after Five Faces of Darkness, that was one of the early ones they played.
