And trade dress is one of the most powerful and honestly least understood forms of intellectual property.

And it protects the total look and feel of a product.

So it's about the overall commercial impression.

So how can Van Leeuwen own any of it? And the court shut that down hard.

And this is the single most important sentence in the whole case for anyone who is building a brand.

Trade dress protects the combination of elements and the impression that they create together, not each individual piece on its own.
