Toyota Avalon

So I'm like, okay, after you've had your crap car, because your brother and your sister both have had crap cars.

My oldest daughter, commandeered my Corolla and my son commandeered my Avalon.

And I'm like, you know what? They both had their crap cars and they were really cheap, but I'm not going to trust you just driving out on a really nice brand new car.

Um, but it's not a point to have a car

The APA also says it has received over 60 complaints for failures of the 8-speed transmission, affecting primarily the Highlander.

In fact, in February of 2021, Toyota Canada issued a technical service bulletin for certain 2021 Highlander Camry and Avalon models equipped with UA80E or UA80F transmissions, which may exhibit a loud whining or grinding noise.

We'd like to see an extended warranty for this.

Consumer Matters reached out to Toyota Canada about Donna's case.

[laughs] Love those, uh, those Toyota Avalons.

Oh man, they're nice.

It is AM- But all the Toyotas.

My husband's on the way right now.

We want to look at a Toyota Avalon.

And this thing was parked in our backyard forever because you could see this thing got mold all over it.

It's just a junk.

So I sold three cars, two cars to one customer.

That customer that all the salespeople thought like, oh, my God, George, go waste your time because we don't want to waste time.

They bought a Toyota Avalon, a Toyota Tacoma.

I remember it like now.

... a few days of getting on the lot.

Um, but the Crown Signia is that, since people that will remember the Avalon, and the Crown replaced the Avalon, uh, as, uh, the kind of the top-tier sedan, uh, in Toyota, uh, world.

And, uh, the Signia is the small SUV version of that vehicle.

Mm-hmm.

They're more like Toyota.

When you look at Toyota, you got the Corolla, you got the Lexus, you got the, uh, Avalon, you got, uh, Avensis, uh, differ- these are different demographics, income groups.

And they can migrate you upwards-

A lot there to like.

A little bit expensive relative to the old Toyota Avalon, which it more or less replaces.

But dang, that's a nice car.

Could use a nicer interior.

It's got even more stuff it can do than a midsize truck, so it goes the longest.

GX460, a Lexus, and then the Toyota Avalon.

Toyota Avalons, they last forever again.

Another sedan that just runs and runs.

They don't sell anymore, sadly.
