Toyama

But I have so many favorites, so even just within Japan, I'll share the three places actually I recently visited and absolutely loved.

Um, so the first place I'd like to introduce is Toyama, uh, which was actually selected as one of the 52 places to go in 2025-

... by The New York Times.

So I visited Toyama twice last year, and got to experience so much of what this place has to offer.

Mm-hmm.

So Toyama is located on the northern coast of central Japan, facing the Sea of Japan.

So it's known for its breathtaking natural landscapes, including the Tateyama Kurobe, where you can hike through stunning mountain scenery, and experience a variety of unique transport options.

So quickly now I'm thinking of how I can get the bank account set up first, because without the bank account, I can't collect revenue.

I can't prove to let's say the immigration office, the companies collecting revenue, right? so few options that i'm thinking through one is to get a local representative right and through that we should not be we should not have any problems getting a zidoo card um secondly maybe speak to the toyama governor to see whether i can be sort of helping them or employed with them in a way where i can contribute by getting foreigners to come into toyama i'm still exploring that i don't know um that's and that's a second way a third way could be um getting employed get a work visa through, let's say, a friend's company.

And then me and my family can be in Toyama and live in Toyama and work on the business.

So I'm still exploring options because the information or the rejection was so new.

I don't have an answer yet.

I was looking and looking and looking.

And once in a while, whenever I come for holiday, I'll look at some of the properties.

But I didn't really make that jump until I saw the Kyoto Ryokan, the property in Toyama.

Very cool.

And then Toyama.

Toyama, I believe.

Yeah, I think that is

correct.

Shonan still yet to concede a goal after three matches, so a brilliant defensive work from them so far this season.

And for Toyama, back-to-back 4-0 wins mean that they are third in the, uh, early J2 table.

After scoring four away at Akita in round two, this time they beat Imabari 4-0 at home.

Manato Furukawa's glancing header made it 1-0, and then usually reliable defender Kazuki Kushibiki diverted a low cross past his own keeper for an own goal to make it two.

I think he scored a couple.

Uh, good strikes as well.

But, um, I've gotta give it to, uh, Toshiki Takahashi of Toyama, who set up two of their four goals against Imabari and completely shut down, uh, Kota Mori, who is the left-sided attacker for, uh, Imabari.

Uh, Takahashi was playing on the right as sort of a right wing back, uh, did an excellent job in defense, but also was, uh, very important, uh, uh, into the attack.

It looks like that we're going to be dealing with more rainfall for the central portions of Japan as we head into Saturday.

Friday was a little bit calmer in places like Toyama, Ishikawa prefectures when it came to the severely heavy rainfall.

I mean, nothing like what we saw on Thursday.

But the stationary front that continues to be draped across the region will continue to produce the rainfall that can lead to some concerns because some of the rainfall amounts can be anywhere from 100 to 120 millimeters of rainfall in a 24-hour period, especially around places like Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures, uh, but also into Niigata as well, we're looking at the concern of seeing some of that heavy rainfall.

So please make sure that you continue to be vigilant and weather aware.

Now, the stationary front also bringing some rainfall into places like Sendai, Tokyo, down to the mid-20s for daytime highs, but back toward the west, very hot, 36 in Fukuoka, so Kyushu, you're going to be roasting as we go through the day on Saturday.
