Season four, episode eight, The Sly & Mighty: How Toxic Leadership Can Contribute to Burnout.

Over the course of the last few episodes of the Burnout to Brilliance podcast, we've been exploring some of the less obvious experiences that can sit beneath and contribute to or significantly complicate burnout.

A few episodes ago, psychotherapist and former C-suite headhunter Kathleen Saxton joined me to explore narcissism and the impact that living or working in relationship with strong narcissistic traits can have on our wellbeing.

So a massive piece of your mission at the Third Alarm Cowboys is to rebuilding true, authentic brotherhood.

In an industry plagued by industrial friction, toxic leadership, administration moral injury, how do we protect a crew at the floor level in the field when leadership is actively breaking their spirit?

Yeah, I mean, that's pretty much what my entire platform has kind of become into.

Yep, I'm interested for this.

I was a second grade teacher for a few years.

I was in a work situation under some really toxic leadership that, you know, I, this lady, she would, it was in a teaching situation.

She would watch me teach and just glare at me from back of the room and she'd make me stay late hours and just was so condescending.

She, you know, if I befriended a student, she's like, they don't need a friend.

So it A lot of interesting things have transpired, and I know one of the main topics that you wanted to touch on is the – The mutinous sentiment that exists in the Navy amongst these carrier groups or these ships, obviously you and I were both in the Navy, and I'm happy to share my take on some of the characters that I got to interact with.

But perhaps you could start us off situating us pertaining to this toxic leadership and kind of tying in with your experiences.

Yeah, this actually reminds me of what happened in the infamous class of 1993. where I had Carter Page was one of my superior midshipmen officers.

So there were a lot of notoriety going on in that particular classroom.

And like you said, a lot of them are narcissists.

So that's what we're being led by in the military.

That's why I'm not surprised that they're threatening mutiny right now and why the military is in such disarray, because we're being led by psychopathic, homosexual, narcissistic, top-tier, toxic leadership.

who they're hiding the truth from their own people.
