Tower of God

the next five years we're going to see a bunch of manual releases adaptation into anime.

It's just paining me that God of High School and Tower of God had to go through shit.

Had to go through shit times, man.

Guy.

I don't know if they can ...

I just hope they can redeem them somehow.

Can they come back? They can come- Tower of God was solid, bro.

It's just- God of High School was also solid.

They're developing these together from the planning stage, not just slapping a logo on a license.

It's the real pipeline, like solo leveling and Tower of God before them.

Okay, but 15 at once? At some point we're going to run out of webtoons and start adapting people's grocery lists.

Do not give them ideas, Connor.

Planning stage co-production is very different from buying a popular title and speed-rumming it in 12 episodes with a studio that found out last Tuesday.

Exactly, and the track record is already there.

Solo leveling and Tower of God prove the pipeline works.

Now imagine that machinery aimed at 15 titles with built-in global audiences.

No, it doesn't.

We see exactly that in Telecom Animation Film's handling of Tower of God.

Which requires us to transition to a series where progression is entirely opaque.

Yeah.

Completely a mystery.

A story shrouded in complex mystery, bizarre trials, and a setting that actively attempts to crush the protagonist psychologically rather than just physically.

Tower of God, released in 2020, really stands as a critical pivot point in the manhwa adaptation space.

It was one of the earliest properties branded as a Crunchyroll original.
