Tour de Romandie

Uh, so he was just basically spearheading a development squad, so that was quite funny.

Tour of the Basque Country, a strong result there, fifth place, and he was up there in some stages in the Tour de Romandie.

I mean, he is probably more, like, gonna slide in in domestique duties, I think, and then maybe gets a few opportunities for himself Uh, James Shaw, I mean, he had that one tour where he was really electric with EF, and then I don't know if there's been any results really of late.

But, uh, he, he seems like he's a pretty solid rider.

It's not actually, um, ever gonna get agreed upon by every single stakeholder and fan.

The, what cycling needs is one entity to make a decision, and if that decision means that the Tour of Romandie and Itzulia and the, the Bretagne Classic are no longer part of the elite calendar of races, and bad luck, guys, you're just not selected to be part of the future- Then somebody needs to make that very difficult situ- uh, decision.

The problem is that then you're placing a bet on what will sustain, and where will this interest maintain itself-

Maybe the cycling...

There's too many people like you and, uh, me in cycling who are too content with the way, with the status quo, with the way things are.

Off with, off with the Tour of Romandie's head and off with our heads as well.

And there are people, there are cyclists that can make their careers knowing that, you know what, my best opportunities are those late season races or those off-peak races.

So you take an example like the Tour of Romandy.

It's between the Classics and the Giro, right? Not everybody is looking for that.

Or you take something that's just between the Giro and the Tour, like the Tour de Switzerland.
