Touch rugby

Yes, we are.

Because the touch rugby, which is something I've never really played, apart from the odd cricket warm-up.

I don't

know about you.

We've got the Jets with their first home game of the season.

We've got the touch rugby inter-insula.

We've got the women, rugby women playing away.

We've got loads going on.

Thank you.

Well, there's no Bulls women's game this weekend, but if we head over to the rugby, there's loads of action.

We're going to start with the touch rugby inter-insular.

I can't say it's something I've played myself particularly much, but I reckon it sounds up my street considering you're not getting smashed into by 20 stone people.

A few things happening in the community game that give me real heart.

One is our partnership with Touch Rugby NZ, or Touch NZ.

So Touch Rugby is now the official non-contact summer format of rugby.

And so we can count Touch players as rugby players and they can consider themselves part of the rugby whanau.

So that gives us over 200,000 participants.
