Torn Curtain

It's much closer to prog in many ways.

You only need to look at the final track on both sides of the album, one of which is Marky Moon and the other of which is Torn Curtain.

And, you know, Marky Moon is 10 minutes long.

I'm not surprised you bought a 12-inch.

Really good.

One of my favourite tracks, for sure.

And then, oh, goodness me, the closing track, Torn Curtain, which, I mean, you talked about noir.

This, to me, is like a rain-soaked noir film ending.

It's seven minutes, 'cause it's got this, like, beautiful outro solo by Verlaine.

But, um, I always thought this, you know, it's called Torn Curtain, and it's definitely, it's got a, a theatrical feel to this one.

Yeah, I mean, k- it, it, Torn Curtain is a Hitchcock film with Paul Newman.

Right, right, right.

Like, and it does feel like even though, not the lyrics, uh, the, the chorus, which is beautiful, rolling back the years and-

Yeah, I think so too.

I think the, the fact that, yeah, Marquee Moon ends side one and this ends side two, yeah, I feel like that's very well thought out and well done.
