I would imagine in high school, 'cause it said you played football, basketball, baseball, and track, what ultimately allowed you to make the decision to pursue baseball? And is it a lot of that same stuff you talked about- Mm-hmm ...

being built into you, like you could lean into the failure? 'Cause for me, at a young age, like b- I was always gravitated towards baseball.

And you don't fail a lot as a kid- Mm.

Mm ... at baseball, but- Right ...

the times I did fail, I was trying to always be perfect at a sport you can never be perfect.

And it was kind of this vicious cycle that kind of, I don't wanna say drove me crazy, but it motivated me to try- Right ... to be the best player I could be.

Yeah.

How do you feel about that process, how it played out, and the outcome? And are you still interested in becoming a Major League manager?

Uh, [chuckles] well, uh, um, um, I really enjoyed the process the last two years with, with, uh, Perry.

And, uh, we sat down and we had great conversations.

Some of the things that, you know, I would do, some of the things I wouldn't change, some of the people I would change, some of the guys I would keep, you know.

And I gave my, my honest opinion and, uh, um, and, and we, we, we had great conversation.

It's just, you know, didn't work out and, uh, uh, for some reason.

And, and, uh, I'm, I'm not sad about it.
