Torchlight Parade

I'm sorry, what? And it's because shooting happened in front of, you know, tons of people, public setting.

They had a whole bunch of cops there, maybe not as many as they should have, because they're also covering for the Torchlight Parade.

You just got all of these different things going on at once.

And you don't have enough cops in Seattle to begin with.

A lot of food.

I mean, it's a massive event.

Saturday staffing was reduced specifically to cover the citywide Torchlight Parade.

It's showing a finite overtime pool spread across simultaneous major events.

They wanna make sure that things are safe around in the community.

When we had the Torchlight Parade last year, we had gun violence prevention folks on the ground preventing fights before they happened.

Okay? We had them at Umoja Fest.

People were there preventing stuff.
