Too Fast For Love

Well,

I guess if you're going to go out while drinking beers, listening to Too Fast for Love, that's probably the way to do it.

Going down in a blaze of glory.

Mm-mm.

And I will, every time that I go back, I will still go back to that store.

So it is Motley Crue's Too Fast for Love.

It is the only Motley Crue album out of the classics that I didn't have.

I had Shout at the Devil and Theater of Pain.

Like I said, there's hardly any static here because of all the damn humidity where I am in Spain.

The whole balloon on the hair thing to make static stick, that doesn't work here.

So anyway... too fast for love came out in 1981 released or recorded in October of 81, uh, primarily hit city West in Los Angeles released on November 10th, 1981.

So a month later on the band's own leather records, the substantially revised electro version followed on August 20th, 1982.

Getting back to the topic at hand, we're talking about box sets and all that.

And I want to just touch on this one's not on my list, but it comes to mind with the announcement this week of the Motley Crue 45th anniversary box set for Too Fast for Love.

they're finally properly giving that album a treatment with the leather mix the electra mix the with an unreleased live show from perkin palace which has a couple of songs that um fell by the wayside one turned up on theater of pain later um plus demos but they've missed a few things again um they finally speed corrected nobody knows what it's like to be lonely but it's coming out on vinyl only there is a cd of the leather mix included in there and a cassette of the 81 demo in there what would you feel about kiss and universal if they take a similar path and stop doing cd versions of box set and go to a vinyl only because of the higher price point um And how vinyl is back in vogue.

I guess they're not paying attention to CD sales or have increased again as well.

All That Glitters was previously made available as a vinyl EP on Record Store Day, the annual celebration of independent record stores that took place on Saturday, April 18th.

Motley Crue have announced a 45th anniversary edition of their 1981 debut album Too Fast for Love and have just shared the previously unreleased March 1981 demo of Nobody Knows What It's Like to Be Lonely.

The upcoming limited edition box set is set for release on October 30th and it includes five LPs plus a single, cassette, CD and more.

My number one, this was definitely my number one record in 1981.

I played the heck out of this record.

Molly Crew, Too Fast for Love.

Too fast, too fast for love.

He gets replaced in Motley Crue.

His riffs, his tone, especially on Too Fast for Love, to me, some of the all-time great stuff.

And I know that you're an admirer of his as well.

So being able to talk to Mick like that, and he didn't do many interviews.

Mick is probably one of the most underrated rock guitarists of... you know, our time because he doesn't get, everyone knows who he is, who he has respect.

Everyone knows Mick Mars from Motley Crue.

And they all realize that, that, you know, his guitar tone, his phrasing, his style, his, is a big huge part of motley crew you know obviously nikki's songs are great and i'm a huge fan of like i mentioned earlier the first album too fast for love we used to listen to that thing ever you know back and forth back and forth um all the time side one side two But Mick Mars is just one of those guys that, yeah, he is such a identifiable sound of that band.

And I know John 5 is doing a good job of doing Motley Crue songs.
