I'm just going to read it from Coletta Motorsports, where it says he's been involved in 10 NHRA Top Fuel Championships and more than 100 event wins during his career, which goes more than 35 seasons.

Some of the guys he's worked with include Alan Johnson, Tony Schumacher, Larry Dixon, Dale Worsham.

This is also his second tenure working with Shawn Langdon, and you'll hear that as part of our conversation.

So There is so much that could be said about what this team has done this year.

You know, we had a pretty good run going through there.

So I've been part of some pretty good, successful teams.

You know, there was a point there with Army Corps, we were averaging 10 wins a year.

So if we can manage to pull it off and win out this countdown, you know, that'll put us on 11 wins and 14 finals.

This is good.

Tony Schumacher's a good guy.

I was really blessed to get to travel the country in NHRA drag racing for a couple years, and a- a- sometimes they say never meet your heroes in sports, and-

I stepped in having never worked in racing in any shape, form, or fashion.

I'm just a sales guy from Clarksville, Tennessee, a professional friend maker, and everybody there wanted to treat me like I didn't belong.

Tony Schumacher was the guy who was like, "Come hang out with us.

Let's l- you know, I've got a, I got a cigar for you in my bus.

Now, Leah's next absence is also going to create another change at Tony Stewart Racing, but this time it will not be Tony Stewart making a return to his own team as a driver.

Of course, it was announced the eight-time Top Fuel champion, Tony Schumacher, the man who ironically introduced Stewart to the world of NHRA, during a race in Indianapolis back in 2009, will be taking that seat.

That agreement begins in January.

And it comes full circle, right?

But my idols was like Don Schumacher.

And lo and behold, I ended up becoming great friends with his son, the winningest driver, top deal history, Tony Schumacher.

Tell me what the scene was like, because I know the scene in the 80s in Hollywood, but what was it like in the mid-late 70s?

Tony Schumacher, eight-time Top Fuel champion, will join Tony Stewart Racing in 2027.
