You know, in the old game, you could only come back if they call back Tommy Jarvis.

But in this game, you can come back as Dr. Loomis.

Oh, duh.

Geez.

And then in six, it's, you know, about the graveyard, it's around the police station and stuff, but then they go back to this kind of psychiatric route and the psychic facility as it is in seven, where we have Carrie versus Jason, as everyone calls it.

And then from that point, and this is where I kind of came from at the beginning with Friday part five is the, the last that feels like it's of that ilk of the first few films it's a very very weird and tonally confused film i think um yeah i think so while we're on this as well it's probably a good question at this point to ask what did you kind of feel you know when we're talking about the the mental health aspect of it all and the way that that's kind of perceived what did you think of the characterization of tommy tommy jarvis obviously the returning character from part four yeah

I like the fact that he was kind of silent.

Well, so this probably goes back to the conversation that we're having at the beginning of this about the depictions of mental health and how that's portrayed within 80s films in general.

But in this film particularly, it's not very sensitive.

Would you have been comfortable? Because the whole way through, I was just thinking to myself, it should be Tommy Jarvis, who is the Jason resurrection.

It shouldn't be Roy the bloody paramedic because, oh, and just, sorry for going a little bit off tangent with this, but the fact that Roy and Joey are father and son, Joey spends the entire opening monologue that he's talking about being an orphan and all of this sort of stuff.

There's, like, seven or eight of you in the map.

You get a CB radio you can call back, so if one of you dies or escapes, they can come back as Tommy Jarvis.

It was just such a simple thing.

You know, Jason grabs you, uh, and I'm s- I'm labeling all these things 'cause they're relevant with the Halloween game.

Um, yeah, so L- Loomis is, uh, he's like the main, uh, counter in the movies to, to Michael Myers, Michael Myers' doctor, right?

Right.

And so just like Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th, you find the CB radio, and you place that call.

First guy to die or escape comes back as Loomis.

And I love Corey Feldman too.

As Tommy.

So yeah.

That's all.

Not good starting off at zero, but it is what it is.

Friday the 13th, part five, a new beginning story.

Jason is dead, Tommy Jarvis killed him, but that trauma has had Tommy in hospitals and the like ever since.

Now he's going to stay at some halfway house with a cast of characters not a far cry from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

But thankfully, they do have a way to kind of get back into the game, kind of like Friday the 13th, calling...

Tommy Jarvis from Friday the 13th.

But then in this, it's Dr. Loomis with the CB radio.

And then when the police come, there's reinforcements.

would i pick this because it's my favorite friday movie no but we started this tommy jarvis journey with baby corey feldman yeah yeah and i couldn't deviate from that i feel like we have to see this through its entirety which is honestly just one more movie

but i friday the 13th is a series where It does have some starts and stops, and you don't necessarily need to start at the beginning.

I guess he wasn't the editor.

Somebody else had that horrific task.
