It comes from my grandmother, I think.

She had a very poetic way of talking and speaking.

And she's essentially, because both my parents worked, she's essentially the one that raised me.

And it's only after I left my village that I realized that people don't speak like that.

So it's a constant dialogue of language.

Like I think we were driving the other day and he said, that bit of street furniture looks a bit smashed.

And I was like, street furniture? Is that a word or did you just make that up? Or is that like a poetic turn of phrase? And he was like, no, no, that's an expression, street furniture.

I did not know that.
