Tomago aluminium smelter

It's not just Whyalla.

You've got Tomago Aluminium Smelter, all these places are all needing bailouts.

Mm.

They need more money to do their job.

We want to see clean air, clean soil, clean water.

But we don't want to see that at the cost of Australian industries, Australian businesses, and Australian households and all you need to do is ask the employees of companies like Kinos Plastics or Incitec Pivot Fertiliser or Oceana Glass here in Victoria or now indeed Tomago Aluminium Smelter.

These are companies and industries that are disappearing off our shores, that jobs are being lost because of high energy prices that are being pushed up by an ideological approach to reducing emissions.

Reducing emissions is important, but it is not the only task.
