Why are we talking about practice? But we have to begin with Steve Kerr, who takes up a large portion of the show today.

He was recently on the Tom Tolbert show on YouTube, and he discussed a few things that I thought stood out.

Specifically, he decided with two weeks left in the regular season that this was it.

that he was kind of burnt out, that he'd run his course with the Warriors, and he wasn't going to come back.

So he had a bunch of meetings with Mike Dunleavy and Joe Lacob.

We've heard in these meetings that he was very rejuvenated, that he came with a bunch of different ideas.

And Tom Tolbert kind of pressed him on some of those ideas.

And the big thing that Steve Kerr came up with was just that last year he didn't really do a good coaching job, in his opinion.

These guys made me sleep on the floor? Are you kidding me? And then I looked, my bed was gone.

And I said, well, where's my bed? They're like, oh, Tom, I mean, you were a mess last night.

We had to clean you up.

We had to clean the bed off.

god the fact that they they actually voted for the all tournament team there was another time they came to a warrior game and i told the hooligans i go okay let the families wait in this room just when i get done with the game just go ahead and wait wait in the room um so they wait in the room and i come out after the after the game and julie marvel loved julie she was our pr person she was our raymond ritter back in the day shower, get dressed, come out of the locker room.

And Julie's kind of standing there waiting for me.

And she goes, Tom, can I talk to you for a minute? And I go, yeah.

Yeah, what's up? She goes, well, just at that time, I just kind of not for any reason but i just happened to look to my left and all of them were standing outside the room and they kind of got their heads down like this i'm like oh what these guys do so joey tells me she goes yeah your friends went in there and just like you know it's kind of the family room it's for everybody and they just they ate all the chicken wings and they threw the bones underneath the table I'm like, you fucking, I go, you guys kidding me? I go, you kidding me? I let you go in the family room.

There were some wild things in the 2000 jungle.

So athletes would come on the show and they could do what they wanted to do if they wanted to do it.

John Barry was comfortable doing those things.

Tom Tolbert was comfortable doing those things.

That's why these guys did so well in broadcasting.

Yeah.

You know, I was assigned to Tom Tolbert the other day and he asked me, he goes, how long before people just give him his due? And I said, 147 pass attempts.

And he's like, he didn't know what I was talking about.

Well, he meets, Brock Purdy does, 147 pass attempts in order to have 1,500 for his career, which then qualifies him for the NFL's all-time lead in passer rating.

Will he put the kind of money? Will he try to compete with the Dodgers? That's going to be really interesting with the Angels.

You did text with Tom Tolbert, right, the biggest Angels fan we know, and he feels he's very excited about this move.
