Figs feel like one of the fruit of 2026, I'd say, 'cause if you cast your mind back to the Chelsea Flower Show, you might remember designer Tom Stuart-Smith featured figs in his garden, which is ultimately gonna end up in the South Bank in London outside the Tate Modern.

They're a great tree for an urban garden, but there are a few things you might wanna know before you get started.

So we sent our producer, Dan, to speak to RHS fruit guru, Jim Arbury, to give us a crash course in this ancient and wonderful fruit.

And then I have great friends in England and I'm very impressed with what they're doing.

I was recently, well, it's a year or so ago, at Chatsworth House and Tom Stewart Smith, a friend, is reworking Chatsworth House for the present Duke and Duchess and for Amanda and Stoker.

And so I'm so impressed with this sort of rewilding effort that's going on around England and being patronized by people like the Cavendish family, the Devonshires, and being led by people like Tom Stewart Smith.

So there's a rewilding effort.

We've been doing that for some time at Moss Mountain Farm because that farm ecology, that garden ecology is so important.
