So the concept was created by Brad Miska.

He was the founder of Bloody Disgusting back in 2001 with Tom Owen.

But the basic idea behind VHS was a found footage, sort of anthology, but it wasn't planned as an anthology.

Originally, he sort of pitched it to these different directors and writers as like, um, a film school project.
