Tom Murphy

Both these plays, this continues the new writing.

So Whistle in the Dark was, Tom Murphy was, he was 26 when he wrote that play.

And Arthur Miller was 34, 35.

So even though they're classics now, they were exciting new writing by young writers of that time.

But people absolutely adored him.

He played in plays by Tom Murphy, Brian Freel, as I say.

He also starred in Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett in 1969.

And apparently he was absolutely incredible.
