Does that change how you want the game to be played or not?
10:18
Uh, I'm, I'm not, uh, I'm not foolish enough to think it's not about winning on a match day.
10:23
Like, my job is to, to win as many games as we can so we can be as successful as we can and, and again, get into the WSL.
10:29
Like, that's, that's my ambition.
10:30
That's our ambition.
10:31
So that is, is where, where we're gonna get to.
10:34
That's, like, what, what we're setting ourselves up to do.

7 MINS LATER

17:39
And also, how does recruitment work? Are you purely head coach, or are you heavily involved in that as well?
17:20
How much is that still sort of talked about in the academy?
17:23
Yeah, I mean, there's always photos around of Ryan and the other players we spoke of, but...
17:28
I think at times Ryan gets a little bit of a disservice because he's always such a hard-working player but he brings so many good qualities and we at the academy used to always speak about his qualities as a player anyway but I think the most important thing and you'll have done plenty of conversations as we all will have is the thing that comes through with him is how much of a fantastic person that he is and he does carry that Nottingham Forest culture of Forest family you want to sacrifice yourself for other people and that's one thing I would always say to young players older players it's Players are always going to be good players but developing really good people and that's one thing that I'll hold really dear to me as a coach and something that I'll really try and instil in the women's game now.
18:10
Our first thing we'll try and attack is our culture and are we fitting that Ryan Yates culture of going, you sacrifice yourself for the good of the team and the person that's next to you and you care deeply about what you do but also what the person next to you does and I think that's the big thing that what makes Ryan so successful is his personality and his characteristics.
18:28
So he's been a great servant for the football club and hopefully that continues as well.
18:57
So is the role of the academy more important now? Is it less important now? What is its role within this club now? How has it changed?
19:07
I think it's always going to be important at this club.
19:09
I think the history of having players that have come through an academy to play for the first team, I think that's an important thing that we've had anyway.
