Tom Lawrence

It was when, um, money wasn't in abundance, and people weren't getting paid, and, and they-- we, we would run the risk of the academy disappearing in its entirety.

Uh, and it, it was a conversation with Tom and I, Tom Lawrence, that, that was how can, how can we try and save the academy so that when we get back in the league, we've got a ready-made, fit-for-purpose Cat 3 academy or Cat 4 that we can just go pick it up and slot it back into the club.

Uh, and that's really been the plan from the outset, and that's really what drives me to, to, to look at how we're, uh, we operate the academy.

Um, so what we did was we set about 2P-ing the staff across from the football club to the foundation, um, but that comes with, uh, with no money.
