Tom Junod

I've been reading in a genre that I don't tend to dabble in too much, but a couple of great memoirs recently.

One is by the journalist Tom Junod, and, uh, it's a long mouthful title, In the Days of My Youth, I Was Told What It Means to Be a Man.

I think it's drawn from a Led Zeppelin song, if I'm not mistaken.

But, um, it's this wonderful meditation about Junod's father, who was a sort of larger than life, almost madman style figure from the '50s, '60s, and '70s.
