I think we talk a lot about on this podcast and just in general how hard it is for men going to divorce to get to rally a team.

Even a lot of men don't have friends, you know, and As we say, Tom Joyner, I think he said Florida State, has done all that research and just says, you know, men tend to lose their friends.

They end up lonely, especially as they commit to a career.

Women keep their friends.

And let me say this, ever since I graduated, I have been elevated, elevated, elevated, and elevated because my story has been profiled in Ebony Magazine twice.

It has been profiled on the Tom Joyner radio show.

Now, w- w, uh, now, you know, Tom Joyner made it famous, you know, all these cruises, crews-

[laughs]

... cruise for a cause.

Man, I loved that show growing up.

[laughs]

Yeah, Tom Joyner made it famous.

Now, there are specialty cruises going around, jazz cruises, R&B cruises.

I'll tell you, not in New York.

But I was actually in my first year in residency in DC at Georgetown, I was doing my med peds residency, and I was actually driving to Arlington Hospital on 9-11, listening to Tom Joyner's morning show, listening to what happened to Tower One, Tower Two, and then past the Pentagon, like I always did, headed to Arlington Hospital.

And then once I was at work, that's when the Pentagon was attacked.

And so what I dealt with was, automatically I had to leave my clinic and all of the physicians went to the ER because we were the hospital at Arlington hospital set to take care of the victims from the Pentagon.

I love sharing music now because it's been a lifetime of listening to it, like intentionally, you know what I mean? Like, yeah, obviously you kind of listening to morning drive radio, you know, for years, yeah.

Listening to Tom Joyner and all the greats and stuff like that.

But yeah, we really need to get back to just pockets of personalities who play music based on what they want to hear.

And that really kind of pushes people.
