So anyway, my question is a very, very simple one.

And you hear people every now and then say, so how come Gandalf gets to say the ring verse at the Council of Elrond, but he won't say it in Frodo's living room? But then he says it and, you know, the sky gets dark and everything.

And Sauron sits upright on his throne and goes, what? You know, I kind of feel always kind of felt that Gandalf was trolling Sauron there.
