Well, Maddie started to talk about the BBC, and BBC sportscaster Claire Balding's accidental double entendre at the Tokyo Games deserves a gold medal of its own.

Balding was interviewing British swimmers Tom Dean and Matthew Richards about their victory in the 4x200m freestyle relay with teammates James Guy and Duncan Scott when she said, Matt, You're 18 years old, it's your first Olympics, and you swam.

Honestly, your third leg was just phenomenal.

Balding was referring to Richard's swimming skills.

Not only in Stirling but also in GB, I feel like it's been so long, it's been so male-dominated.

You know, we've had Duncan Scott, we had Tom Dean, and all these like amazing male athletes who are still at the top, don't get me wrong.

But it's so nice to see the girls finally coming through and finally getting their time to show how much work we've been doing.

And, you know, we actually are as good as the male side of, um, GB.

I mean, you look at the men's two, uh, 200 free relay splits of all time.

And bear in mind, Britain's British record for 200 free is when Tom won in Tokyo going a 144.2 and Duncan also going a 144.2, just a few one hundredths behind.

But we've got something like nine swims sub 144 in, in, uh, 200 free relays for men.

So you just don't know, but someone, it can happen.

You know, you had Hobson go 43, you had Jett go 44.

They had a good bunch of swimmers, and on paper they were quicker than us going into that meet, but we still never had any doubt.

When, when our four get together, it's different doing it in your home country, but when Gabriel Jett, no disrespect, is stood on the block and he's looking left and he's seeing Duncan Scott or Tom Dean or James Guy or Matt Richards or even Macmillan, it's different.

You know, our boys will take it to them and they will die for that win, and we've seen that over so many years.
