this one because this is really interesting and once
18:06
again uh Philomor V, Paul Stevens Veterans and Citizens Aged Care.
18:13
So in this case, there was an employee at an aged care facility, a manager, who there'd been several complaints about her behaviour towards other staff.
18:23
Apparently she set up this weird point system.
18:27
It's not clear what that means, but I feel like it may be something to do with how she ranks the employees' performance or something like that.
18:34
She also was accused of yelling at them, being rude, generally just creating an unsafe psychological environment, a psychologically unsafe environment.
18:45
Anyway, so her supervisor said to her, you need to improve the conditions.

All
9:53
So talk to us about the background in
9:55
this.
9:56
Basically, in this one, a similar sort of situation where an employer has resigned and intended to work for a competitor.
10:03
And the previous employer has sought to enforce a restraint of trade clause against that employee.
10:11
And in this one, they even went to the extent that they wanted to get an injunction basically saying that this employee can't be allowed to – what is it – work for this new employer, solicit any of their own clients or disclose any confidential information, which all seemed kind of reasonable.
10:27
But I guess the court in this case said no, because they had to balance that this person was like the breadwinner for his or her family.
10:36
And that need sort of had to be balanced against what the employer said its concerns were, which again, hadn't really been realised yet.

25:08
um from the this entitlement and this might create i guess the prospect of different working from uh rights that might apply to employees within the same workplace depending on personal circumstances that's going to be an additional challenging challenge and circumstance i think um our tip is here watch this space yeah all right so we're up to i guess our study case study so tom I'll
66:11
a

half years.
66:11
And then in my intro, RJ mentioned it, I was recruited out to a family office and as a founding, you know, managing partner to help kind of institutionalize a self-made half billionaires investments.
66:22
So he had built a hundred million revenue, 40 million EBITDA, a wealth management practice in about 15, 32 years.
66:29
I had acquired 70 wealth management practices along the way, lived completely below his means, was making a million dollars a year, would click coupons and stop and shop.
66:36
He would tell you that himself and compounded his wealth kind of the Warren Buffett style and learned a lot from him.
66:42
So I was his right hand man.
