Tom Curran

I assume he's in the test team for the foreseeable future.

And then we've got Bartlett and Nasser and adding Tom Curran from England's been huge.

So our team looks deep into batting and very high on pace bowling.

And we've got Matt Coonham as our spinner too.

In my year, we had, you know, some pretty talented guys.

Tom Curran was in my class.

Gary Balance's younger brother, Dylan, he was in my class.

And all these guys, you know, and a few other guys as well, they all kicked on and played, you know, their respective age groups within the national setups and stuff.

No, I stopped bowling pace I think when I was about, I want to say 17.

Yeah, I used to play, I used to, you know, I was predominantly a batter that used to bowl seam.

And at school, I used to open the bowling with Tom Curran, him and I used to bowl from both ends.

And then, yeah, just, I don't know, kind of got tired of bowling seam up, you know, didn't fancy running in hard.

It starts on the 27th of December, and a host of English players have entered, uh, into the playing auction.

Ollie Pope, James Vince, Moeen Ali, Jason Roy, Luke Wood, Reece Topley, Tom Curran, Cadmore, and Laurie Evans have all registered for the Afghanistan Premier League, and they're copping a bit of heat.

You know, the, I, I...

Once again, I suspect that you and I can see both, both sides of this.

Um, you know, notably he had a press conference at the SCG.

Uh, I just asked Tom Curran, uh, you know, this was just after it happened, and I said to him, you know, "D- do we need to go through the, um, you know, stumping laws with you again before the season?" And, um, he didn't find it so amusing.

So-

[chuckles]

Um, so you'd think logically we'd have won one or two since then.

Um, so it's a real underachievement, and, uh, when, when you look at some of the players that we've had for the last decade or more, like Jason Roy, like, like Sam Curran, uh, and, and Tom Curran, and we had Aaron Finch for several years.

We had San Kakara.

You know, we, we had some top quality white ball players.
