... thought when I was reading Tokyo Ghoul for the first time.

They have a character who wears a mask, his whole s- mystique is Friday the 13th-

Jujutsu Kaisen, also ranked at $1 to $2 billion.

Tokyo Ghoul at $500 million to $1 billion.

Chainsaw Man at $300 to $700 million.

Blue Walk at $200 to $500 million, and Solo Leveling estimated between $100 million to $500 million.

So maybe if it did have something new, it would move up on these rankings.

But everything else is more, you know, last 15 years.

Besides, obviously, Tokyo Ghoul may be a little bit older, but still.

Nothing of the legacy anime series.

But to kind of circle back what Mad is, Mad is basically a... like a sci-fi dystopian manga that more or less in a general nutshell involves aliens invading Earth and humans trying to survive.

And if you are a fan of stories like... uh chainsaw man tokyo ghoul attack on titan those type of series then this is one that you might want to put on your radar and so the purpose today is i want to give a little bit of just introductory and back backstory on what this series is but also mainly in a little bit i'm gonna let y'all know when i'm gonna talk about spoilers but i gotta talk about in a little bit What's going on? Because I just currently caught up with chapters 45 to 54.

And as I was like, man, I need to record or do something about this or whatever.

I went back and I reread chapter one right before I recorded.

These are easy ones to watch.

Next tier up, I would say, is Tokyo Ghoul.

That one's different.

Takes a little bit more effort.

I'm afraid to say, I'm afraid to say that's how I'm watching Tokyo Ghoul.

But I do have a Q- and I, and I also have the, for my sins, a Crunchyroll subscription.

Cool.

But I'm not telling my friend who's only watched Hell's Paradise, Tokyo Ghoul, uh jjk whatever else aot hey why don't you try evangelion because it is a long show 24 episodes and then the way episode 26 happens you're just like what the fuck did i just watch and then i'm like okay cool watch and evangelion then you're still like what the fuck did i just watch i can't do that i mean it is not it is not homework that i would suggest to anyone this is something that you watch way down the line because i remember my first time experiencing evangelion because i thought hey fuck it you find one of those lists on on google and something like that and it's like yeah watch that i was like all right cool and this is early on in my anime career when i was barely getting back into it so i've had a handful of shows in my bag naruto um fairy tale seven deadly sins a lot of shonen and then this google's telling me yeah try evangelion and i couldn't do it the first time it took me a minute to come back around and try it again and i'm like okay i understand the appeal of this and it came when it became one of my favorite shows but just to get into anime no sir no no no sorry just no this is a seasoned show where you have to wait a little bit before you get into it next up death note cg magazine has it at number five buzzfeed has it outside their top 10 and honestly this is probably one of the easiest enemies to recommend to someone who's never watched anime i recommend this all the time as well it's premise is fantastic light finds a notebook that allows him to kill anyone whose name he writes in it And instead of thinking maybe I shouldn't use this, Light immediately goes into it and starts writing people's names in it.

Very great cat and mouse anime.

And we have a great antagonist with L.

Because, you know, that is a great place to end it if you weren't going to faithfully do more.

It really sucks, too, that Tokyo Ghoul never took off.

Dude, that season one was pretty good.

It was fantastic.
